Supply Chain Development / Meet the Main Contractor Event

June 2nd Builth Wells

June 9th Aberystwyth

This is the second iteration of the South and Mid Wales Construction Framework which is a collaborative arrangement led by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, on behalf of 20 public sector organisations.

The Framework provides a route to market for public sector organisations in the South and Mid Wales regions for the 21st Century Schools programme and other public buildings.

21st Century Schools is more than just a building programme, it is a One Wales commitment and a unique collaboration between the Welsh Government (WG), the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) and local authorities.  It is a major, long-term and strategic capital investment programme with the aim of creating a generation of 21st century schools in Wales. The programme will focus resources on the right schools in the right places, for early years through to post-16.

The Framework will be worth a total of approximately £450m to the region over the next three years and covers projects valued at over £1.5million. Projects are delivered by the appointed Main contractors on six different  lots.

Seven of the Main Contractors are holding two Meet the Main Contractor Events aiming to meet potential sub-contractors. The contractors will also be running a number of short workshops/presentations throughout both events. Details of which will be provided to companies who book appointments.
